It’s Not Your Story

Charleen Spencer and her husband Curtis have been foster and adoptive parents for five years. They were always willing to take the difficult cases. She is the executive director of an organization that provides support to foster families through support groups, free clothing, and friendship creating a network of resources. She is a trained CASA volunteer supporting abused and neglected children. Spencer is passionate about learning about and understanding the impact of trauma to both children and their caregivers. She fiercely believes that inclusion of the biological family is essential for all adopted children within safe parameters.
